Call for Papers: 52nd PICE National Convention and Technical Conference Engineering Forum Opens Submissions
The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE) has officially issued a call for abstracts and full papers for the Engineering Forum at the upcoming 52nd PICE National Convention and Technical Conference. Scheduled to take place from 19 – 21 November 2026 at the SMX Convention Center Cebu, this year’s convention centers on the forward-thinking theme: “PICE Towards a Sustainable Future: Strengthened by Members, Defined by Specialization.” Local and international researchers, practitioners, and academicians are invited to share their technical expertise and breakthroughs to help shape the future of civil engineering.

Local and international researchers, practitioners, and academicians are invited to share their technical expertise and breakthroughs to help shape the future of civil engineering.
Areas of Interest and Specialty Divisions
Submissions are open for relevant papers falling under any of the 7 Specialty Divisions of PICE:
Project Management and Construction Engineering (PMCE)
Geotechnical Engineering (GTE)
Structural Engineering (STE)
Transportation Engineering (TRE)
Water Engineering (WE)
Environmental and Energy Engineering (EEE)
Civil Engineering Education (CEEd)
Additionally, the forum welcomes other topics of critical industry relevance, such as Futures Thinking and Foresight, Mega Projects, Infrastructure Development, Codes, Legislations/Legal Issues, Disaster Reduction and Recovery, and Sustainable Development, among others.
Submission Guidelines and Formats
Authors have the option to submit either a one-page abstract of their proposed paper or a Full Paper (which is highly preferred).
Critical Deadlines to Note:
8 August 2026: Deadline for 1-page Abstract submission.
Note: Authors whose abstracts are accepted will be notified in writing by 15 August 2026 and will be required to submit a full paper.
29 August 2026: Deadline for Full Paper submission.
Note: Status notifications (accepted, provisionally accepted, requiring revision, or rejected) will be sent by 12 September 2026.
Important Participation Requirements
PICE Membership: Only PICE Members in Good Standing (including active membership in their Chapter) may be allowed to speak on Civil Engineering topics at the conference.
Credentials for Filipino Engineers: A scanned copy of a valid or renewed PRC ID must be included with the submission.
International Presenters: Presenters of foreign nationality with compelling papers are highly welcome to participate and present via virtual presentation.
Publication Opportunities: Selected excellent papers will be considered for full publication in the prestigious PICE Journal.
