PICE to Honor the Nation’s Top Civil Engineering Student in the 2025 MOCES Awards
The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE) proudly announces the upcoming 2025 Most Outstanding Civil Engineering Student (MOCES) Award, to be held on November 25, 2025, at the Quezon City Meeting, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (M.I.C.E.) Center. Organized under the auspices of the PICE National Student Affairs Committee, the annual MOCES Award recognizes one exemplary civil engineering student who has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, community service, and commitment to the profession’s ideals. This prestigious recognition aims to encourage young civil engineers to strive for holistic growth—embodying both intellectual and moral excellence—as future leaders and nation builders in the field of civil engineering.

Organized under the auspices of the PICE National Student Affairs Committee, the annual MOCES Award recognizes one exemplary civil engineering student who has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, community service, and commitment to the profession’s ideals.
This prestigious recognition aims to encourage young civil engineers to strive for holistic growth—embodying both intellectual and moral excellence—as future leaders and nation builders in the field of civil engineering.
About the MOCES Award
The Most Outstanding Civil Engineering Student Award is an annual search among active members of accredited PICE Student Chapters nationwide. Candidates are nominated by their respective institutions through their Mother Chapters, in coordination with the Deans or Department Chairs of Civil Engineering programs.
For 2025, the theme focuses on “Empowering Membership, Promoting Specialization: Building a Stronger PICE for the Preferred Future.” Nominees are required to submit a five-minute video discourse on this topic, presenting their insights and advocacies that align with PICE’s vision for a more empowered and specialized civil engineering community.
Qualifications and Evaluation
To qualify, nominees must:
Be a Filipino citizen and a member in good standing of a PICE-accredited student chapter;
Be at least a third-year BSCE student for the school year 2025–2026; and
Possess good moral character supported by certifications from their department and student affairs office.
Entries are evaluated by the MOCES 2025 Committee based on the following criteria:
Academic Performance – 40%
Leadership and Involvement in PICE Student Chapter – 15%
Community Service – 10%
Oral Discourse (Video Presentation) – 15%
Final Interview – 20%
The Top 5 finalists will undergo a final interview before the national judging panel on November 25, 2025, prior to the awarding ceremony.
Awards and Prizes
To recognize their exemplary achievements, winners of the MOCES 2025 will receive:
🏆 1st Place – Plaque of Distinction, ₱30,000 Cash Prize, and Certificates for the School and Mother Chapter
🥈 2nd Place – Plaque of Distinction, ₱20,000 Cash Prize, and Certificates for the School and Mother Chapter
🥉 3rd Place – Plaque of Distinction, ₱10,000 Cash Prize, and Certificates for the School and Mother Chapter
🏅 4th & 5th Place – ₱5,000 Cash Prize each and Certificates of Recognition
